EcoSmart Homes is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado and was formed in August of 2009 to become the leading home performance upgrade business in the Rocky Mountain and Southwest regions of the United States. Its management team has over 50 years of collective experience in green building and home energy retrofits, and is led by industry pioneer and leader, Eric Doub.

EcoSmart boasts the experience of its parent company, Ecofutures, Inc. Since its inception in 1994, Ecofutures has become a nationally-known leader in the design and construction of high-performance, energy-efficient, award-winning homes. Among other achievements, Ecofutures is credited with constructing the first verifiable, zero net energy residence in a cold climate in the United States. Before EcoSmart was established, Ecofutures completed over 110 retrofits of existing homes, including a couple that achieved near-zero net energy status.
